Stormy Sea – Hand-Built Stoneware Vase
Evoking the raw beauty of the coast, the Stormy Sea vase captures the tension between wild, crashing waves and the calm that follows. Hand-built using traditional coiling techniques, this piece flows with quiet drama—its elegant form shaped entirely by hand, from base to textured interior.
The outside is layered in moody ocean blues and deep marine tones, with glazes brushed and blended to mimic the motion of storm-swept water. These cascading colours break organically across the surface, meeting a natural clay base like waves washing ashore. A soft white glaze fills the interior, offering a tranquil contrast.
The silhouette features a gentle taper and softly flared rim, forming a subtle spout that adds movement and grace to the design.
